IPH’s pre-press department is designed to meet all sorts of origination starting from PDF downloaded through the internet, CDs, films and even ready made plates.
High quality equipment, good procedures and extensive quality control ensures that printing output is in its optimal.
Pre-Press Flexibility:
INTERNET: IPH has a broadband internet connection! No need to lose time in shipping, just log into our FTP server and download / upload your CD’s
CDS: IPH is equipped to receive your work in freehand, Photoshop, in-design, coral draw, PDF, quark express and El Nasher El Sahfy
FILMS: We are fully equipped to montage all sorts of positive films ranging from page by page to complete electronic montage. We can provide you with Trace and fold layout to facilitate electronic montage procedure from your side.
PLATES: We are also ready to work with plates, although not recommended due to lack of proper calibration, we are still able to produce your work.
CTP: Computer to plate technology eliminates films and produces plates directly from CD giving excellent registration, speed and very high quality first generation dots.
Heidelberg’s unique Printect system enables IPH to effectively link pre-press with binding through pre-press interface system.
IPH printing machines were chosen with care to insure that our customers demands are met efficiently, quickly and with top quality.
IPH has an all Heidelberg printing machine covering all demand from single color to 5 colors printing in one pass and up to 10 colors double pass if needed.
- 8 Color Printing Machine full sheet (72×104): provides state of the art printing. The machine can print high quality 4 color perfecting jobs giving higher capacity.
- 5 Color printing half sheet: IPH is able to print 5 colors inline in one pass using water based coating system to produce high quality coated print runs. Extended delivery + infra red dryers ensure that work comes out dry and ready for the next process while insuring enough drying time to produce high coating effect.
- 4 Color machine full sheet (72×104): provides top quality high output printing quality for all 4 color or even 2 color perfecting jobs to produce higher output for books that need 2 colors.
- 2 Color machine sheet (72×104): premium one pass front and back 1 color printing for all sorts of printing output. Machine Capable of printing 2 colors in one pass
1 Color machine sheet (72×104): High quality one unit printing for 1 color and machine varnish sealing
IPH is capable of different binding methods to suit all our customers’ requirements:
Hard Cover book binding:
Casing in of sewn or glued book blocks in hard or flexible covers.
Book blocks with flat spines can be rounded, backed, gauzed, lined or processed.
Book blocks of all types can be accommodated – thin paper to thick art board, rough and smooth surfaces, book blocks with gilt-edge and/or inserted ribbons.
Cover materials include paper, cardboard, linen, synthetic material, leather, padded cases, integral or plastic covers.

Folding and cutting machines run in conjunction with specialist foiling, diecutting and laminating systems.
Our Finishing departments include a comprehensive range of finishing equipment incorporating all the processes commonly required.
Print On Demand with digital technology is used to print small run jobs that are too expensive or too inefficient on offset machines.
We guarantee you fast, reliable and brilliant image quality printing directly from your CD to the digital printer.
You can also print contract proofs for very close color matching with offset printing.
